Thank you to everyone who has already pledged to support the ministries of St. Barnabas in 2016! Your support is very much appreciated and makes it possible for St. B’s to positively impact the quality of life in our neighborhood and beyond. It’s not too late to submit a pledge! If you need a form, they are available at the back of the church or you can call the church office.
Our annual stewardship will conclude with an in-gathering on Sunday November 8. This year’s theme is “Building Faith Through Gratitude.” Jesus came to bring us abundant life (John 10:10), and our abundance, however great or small, should be embraced with gratitude. From our members, to our building, to our staff, St. Barnabas is blessed with abundance in many ways, and our prayer is that, in gratitude, you will share in sustaining that abundance.
Question: It’s great news that we have sold Barnabas House (maybe), does that mean that our financial problems are over?
Our annual stewardship Campaign is right around the corner. The campaign will kick-off on Sunday, October 18 and conclude with an in-gathering Sunday on November 8. This year’s theme is “Building Faith Through Gratitude.” Jesus came to bring us abundant life (John 10:10), and our abundance, however great or small, should be embraced with gratitude.
From our members, to our building, to our staff, St. Barnabas is blessed with abundancy in many ways, and our prayer is that, in gratitude, you will share in sustaining that abundance. Thank you!
To be a Delegate or to not be a Delegate — that is the Question. Diocesan Convention will be held in Ashland this year, November 13-14. St. Barnabas is seeking delegates to Convention. This is an opportunity to shape the direction of the Diocese. If you are interested or want to learn more please talk to Father Sean or Sr. Warden Betty Woerner.
We have finally moved into the late 20th century and the church office is now equipped to accept credit card payments for pledges, donations, fund-raising events, and so forth. The church website will soon be set up so you can even make online payments. So, if you would like to earn airline miles or get cash back for your church donations, please contact the church office.
Thanks to all of the parish members new and old who returned their pledge forms during October. We are thrilled to be near our goal of 100% participation. If you have somehow forgotten to return your form, it is not too late! Please return it to the church office or put it in the collection plate. Vestry members are following-up with any outstanding pledges. Please remember that pledging to the church is an important part of parish membership. It shows a commitment to the life and ministry of St. Barnabas. Whether you can give a little or a lot, it all is appreciated and is used to support the mission and ministry of our church.
