Bishop Hanley with Confirmand

Bishop Michael Hanley visited St. Barnabas on Sunday, September 7th to confirm six of our young members. The Bishop’s sermon highlighted the changes that we continue to make and referenced St. Barnabas’ past including Gov. Vic Atiyeh, who ran the Capital Campaign that built our fabulous church facility. The annual parish picnic followed the service and nobody went home hungry! It was a glorious celebration and a great way to transition from Summer to Fall.

The Bishop’s Visit

Bishop Michael Hanley will visit St. Barnabas on Sunday, September 7th to confirm six of our young members. Please plan to attend this joyous celebration and to support these members as they commit their lives to Christ.
And we can’t have a celebration without a feast!  The annual parish picnic will follow the service.  Lisa Begley will again supply the fried and grilled chicken, but each member is asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share.  Come and enjoy fellowship with our growing parish and engage in conversation with the Bishop.

Confirmation?

Bishop Michael Hanley will be at St. Barnabas on September 7th to confirm parish members and receive new members. If you are interested in being confirmed, or have been attending and would like to officially be received into the Episcopal Church, please talk to Father Sean. He is planning classes to start in July.  Confirmation is appropriate for mature middle-schoolers and older members.
