Well, you’re in luck! We have a handful of positions available – no experience necessary. Practices are after church on Sunday Mornings during Advent and the group will play during Communion at the Christmas Eve Service. If you’re interested, please see Glenn. By the way, click here to see what a hand chime is.
Sunday School for Kindergarten through 5th grade begins at 10am in Room 1 (the meeting room downstairs). Our Advent curriculum will focus on Bible stories of Hope, Joy, Peace and Love. We will have an Advent candle wreath on our altar downstairs with candles to represent each theme. The students are conducting a Food Drive for the December 12 Community Dinner food bags. Children are to bring non-perishable food items on December 6 and will take them up to the altar at the offertory.

On Sunday December 13 we hope to have cookie tins brimming with yummy homemade treats so we can send them out with a poinsettia to those parish members who can no longer make it to St. Barnabas to worship with us. Each year we ask you to help with either baking some cookies (about 3 dozen) or signing up to deliver to one of our members. We have a sign up in Grafe Hall that definitely has some spaces open for you to help! Please take a look this Sunday and see where your heart leads you. I know this is greatly appreciated. To our homebound members, having a short visit from a parish member can be very rewarding. Thank you.
Father Sean is requesting feedback on this year’s Christmas-related services including the December 21st pageant service, Christmas Eve, Lessons & Carols, whether we should resume a Longest Night service, and so forth. If you have ideas, suggestions, likes, dislikes, things missed or things you would never miss again…. Please let Sean know.
