Do you have a vision for campus improvements?

Now that Barnabas House has sold, it is time to prioritize work around our campus. We have a great many deferred maintenance projects that need attention and some improvements that will make our church a more enjoyable place to worship – for instance, updated and ADA compliant bathrooms. We certainly have more good ideas than we dollars, so your input will be vital to building for the future. If you would like to join the campus revitalization committee, please email Fr. Sean.

Question: Why don’t we have a Christmas Eve Midnight Mass anymore?

Oh, the Madness… Lent madness that is!

Beginning February 7, we will vote our way to the winner of this year’s Golden Halo – St. Barnabas is in the field of 32, so we have someone to stuff the ballot box for, I mean cheer for. Like last year, we will discuss each saint after the 10:00 AM service, during coffee hour. The Saintly Scorecards and the poster bracket have been ordered. As soon as the books arrive, we’ll have them available for free to the congregation – at least until the 50 are gone. For more info, check out

2016 Annual Parish Meeting

This year’s Annual Meeting is scheduled for Sunday January 24 following the 10:00 AM service. We will briefly review 2015, elect new Vestry member and convention delegates, approve the 2016 parish budget and, of course, have a small morsel to eat – The Women of St Barnabas will provide a light lunch (thank you!). There are two Vestry positions open this year and Leslie Coefield and Justin Reel have both been nominated. Based on our number of pledges for 2016, we are allotted three convention delegates and one alternate. Cathie Dainton Piacente and Melissa Wall have been nominated. So, we still need one more delegate and an alternate (the alternate only must attend if one of the delegates becomes unavailable). This year’s convention is scheduled for 3-5 November in Eugene. If you have been dreaming of an all-expense paid trip to Duck Town, the answer to your dream is at hand. Nominations can be made until Sunday, January 17, and will also be accepted from the floor during the meeting.

Do you have some spare garage space?

We are doing a great job of gathering rummage for the WoSB rummage sale. In fact, so good we do not have enough room for all our plunder. If you can help, please email Leslie Coefield.
