Men’s Breakfast

On Sunday, July 20th the men are back in the saddle month after a well deserved break for Father’s Day! Come to church a little early – or stay late after the 8:00 service – and enjoy some bacon and eggs.  It’s good livin’!

Second Sunday Singers

On July 13th please join us at 9:15 A.M. and become a member of  the Second Sunday singers. You’ll learn and perform a song that day, no experience required.

Second Sunday Yard Work

Following the 10 A.M. service on July 13th, we will be focusing on trimming bushes away from the church in anticipation of future painting. If we trim, the paint will come.

Free Community Dinner: July BBQ!

On Saturday, July 12th, between 5:00 P.M. and 6:30 P.M. we will be preparing a traditional BBQ: burgers, hot dogs, and all the fixins! We still need people to sign-up for cooking/set-up, serving, and clean-up.  The signup sheet is on the bulletin board in Grafe Hall. Dinner is held each 2nd Saturday.

Stump the Priest: Sacraments

Answer: Another great question!  According the Catechism in the Book of Common Prayer (p. 857), “The sacraments are outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace, given by Christ as sure and certain  means by which we receive that grace.”

Calling All Big Brothers and Sisters!

Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Stephen’s Creek Crossing are collaborating on a project to bring positive adult mentors to the middle school youth.  This will be a “site-based program” which means the Bigs and Littles will meet at the Stephen’s Creek Crossing Opportunity Community Center weekly on Thursday evenings (6:00-7:00 P.M.) for a snack and activity.  Activities will include swimming, climbing and open gym at the MJCC across the street, disc golf at the nearby course, board games and fun at the playground or gardens at Stephen’s Creek Crossing.

An informational meeting/training for people who want to be big brothers or big sisters is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8th, between 5:30 and 8:30 P.M. at Hillsdale Community Church. Anyone from St B’s who might be interested is most welcome – there is no obligation to those who attend this meeting.
